How to Build a Website with AI

Building a website with AI means describing your business in plain language and letting software write the pages, choose the images and lay everything out. This guide shows the whole process in Orbix, from the first sentence to a live site.

1. The five steps

  1. Create the site. From the dashboard, click New Website.
  2. Describe your business. For example, "a modern HVAC company in Miami offering repair and installation." Optionally paste a link to an existing site, Google Business Profile or social page so the AI can research real details.
  3. Click Generate. Orbix writes your pages, selects imagery and assembles the layout.
  4. Edit. The site opens in the builder. Change any section inline, regenerate copy, or ask the AI for changes.
  5. Publish. Go live on a free Orbix subdomain, or connect your own domain.

2. Writing a good description

The more specific you are about your services, location and tone, the better the first draft. Include what you sell, who it is for, where you operate and how you want to sound.

  • Weak: "a website for my business."
  • Stronger: "a friendly neighborhood bakery in Austin selling sourdough, custom cakes and weekend brunch, with online ordering for pickup."

Treat the result as a strong first draft. Read every page, correct anything that is inaccurate, and add the details only you know, such as real prices, hours and photos.

3. Refining the result

The builder is section-based: each block (hero, features, pricing, gallery, contact and more) can be edited, moved, duplicated or removed.

  • Click any text to edit it, or an image to replace it.
  • Drag sections to reorder them and add new ones from the section library.
  • Ask the AI for changes in plain language, such as "make the hero more energetic" or "add a testimonials section."
  • Check desktop, tablet and mobile previews before you publish.

4. Publishing and your own domain

Open Publish & Deployment, review your pages and click Publish. Your site goes live at a free Orbix subdomain. Publish again whenever you make changes.

To use a domain you own, publish at least once, open Domain Settings, enter the domain and add the DNS records Orbix shows (an A record for a root domain, a CNAME for a subdomain). DNS changes can take a few minutes up to 48 hours, and an SSL certificate is issued automatically once the domain verifies. See publishing your site and setting up your custom domain.

5. What it costs

Orbix starts free. Starter ($0) includes 1 website and 3 AI generations a month on an Orbix subdomain. Pro ($15 a month) includes 3 websites, 50 AI generations a month, a custom domain, bookings and e-commerce. Agency ($99 a month) includes 25 websites and 750 AI credits a month. 6. Questions

Can AI really build a whole website?

Yes. Orbix writes the pages, picks imagery and assembles the layout from a short description of your business. You then review and edit it, because every section stays editable.

Do I need to know how to code or design?

No. You describe the site in plain English and refine it by clicking sections or asking the AI for changes. If you want to go further, Orbix also lets you add your own custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
