Every published site gets a free subdomain (yourname.orbixapp.com). To use your own domain, point it at Orbix with a couple of DNS records.
Before you start
- Your site must be published at least once.
- You need access to your domain registrar (where you bought the domain — e.g. GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare).
Connect the domain
- 1Open your site, then go to Domain Settings.
- 2Enter the domain you want to use (root domain like example.com or a subdomain like www.example.com).
- 3Orbix shows the DNS records to add. For a root domain you'll add an A record; for a subdomain you'll add a CNAME record.
- 4Log in to your registrar's DNS settings and add the records exactly as shown.
- 5Return to Orbix and click Verify. DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours to propagate.
HTTPS / SSL
Once your domain verifies, an SSL certificate is issued automatically so your site loads securely over https. No action needed on your part.
Tip · If verification stalls, double-check there are no conflicting existing A/CNAME records for the same host, and that you didn't include https:// in the domain field.
