Webhooks let Orbix notify an external URL when something happens on your site — like a new form submission, order, or booking — so you can connect Orbix to your CRM, automation tools, or custom backend.
How webhooks work
- You provide an endpoint URL that can receive HTTP POST requests.
- When a subscribed event occurs, Orbix sends a JSON payload to that URL.
- Your endpoint responds with a 2xx status to acknowledge receipt.
Set one up
- 1Open your site and go to API & Webhooks.
- 2Add a new webhook with your endpoint URL.
- 3Select the events you want to receive (e.g., form submitted, order created).
- 4Save, then trigger a test event to confirm your endpoint receives it.
Good practices
- Use an https endpoint.
- Verify and log incoming payloads on your side.
- Return quickly (2xx) and process heavy work asynchronously.
Tip · For programmatic access beyond events, generate an API token on the API Tokens page. Keep tokens secret — treat them like passwords.
